Objection to School moving
From "Consultation on relocation of Islamia Primary School from September 2024"

Firstly, it is absurd that there are only these two options on offer.
The proposed site is not suitable.
1) The infrastructure is not sufficient enough to support school premises, with a single bus route (which many a time has already been busy enough so as not to stop for passengers as it is).
2) to add to the above, Windermere avenue and Carlton Avenue East are narrow, single car passage, roads often overcongested - being a faith school, this site would not only cater to the nearby area, but students from further afield, adding to this strain on the roads and infrastructure.
3) the current site is located fairly far away from this site, so I'm not even sure current student families would be happy to make the move - a site nearer to Kingsbury may be better suited.
