Public green area around Roe Green village sign

this public green is currently just mown. It could easily made more biodiverse by planting the area up with herbs and low-growing bushes. That would mean less work for the council and could create a piece of wildlife for the local hedgehogs.

The area is heavily used by staff from the village school. They tend to smoke there as they are not allowed to smoke on school premises. We would prefer if the school provided some cigarette butt bins near them so staff are not attracted to smoke in the village. Maybe Council can come up with a solution there? It just makes such a bad impression
