Brent Parks Forum4 years ago National Federation of Parks and Green Spaces Network: Parks Community UK : We empower Friends of parks and greenspace community volunteersParks Forums Training - Held today proving the use of parks for all ages.In Brent:Young Brent Foundation; youth football clubs all over Brent using parks; specific faith / backgrounds, Community orgs. that have youth sections; Sufra's work with young people using a green space in their estate; Community Growers' Projects - Let's Grow Brent NW10 based; Welsh Harp Education Centre; Welsh Harp Pheonix boating Cnt. (Green and Water space- course run as well fully accredited). Large green space organisations that are Charities working with youths training; mentoring. Experience added to the young person's CVs/ life skills. Biodiversity projects involving both Primary and Secondary schools; Health programs linked to schools - Shows more emerging and YES, this all truly needs supporting with large percentage of areas across the borough now of low-income families.Young Brent Foundation - about usYouth Clubs linked to Parks:This then bridges the gap between Healthy outdoor activity with fully qualified organisations and parks then become well used hubs an NHS Natural Health Service.Learning from successes across UK.All over the UK Parks Forums are working in partnership with Housing provision, youth groups, Health and - successful Pilots in Leeds, as well as Camden and Islington's Green Social Prescribing. They will be rolling out support for others across UK through the Friends of Parks Forums movement supporting initiatives / in partnership with Councils, Health Service, including a substantive Leeds pilot for safety in parks for girls initiative. Lordship Rec. Haringey is a key example of parks going from, no go to huge community assets for Youth and all ages and marginalised / social backgrounds.
