Abbey Estate Community Centre
Brent Council has identified the Abbey Community Centre site for a potential regeneration opportunity. We would like to discuss ideas developed in partnership with Stakeholders for improving the site with you.
The Abbey Community Centre is a small council-owned property located on open space between Queensbury Road and the River Brent in the Alperton Ward. Built circa 1980, the property is a single storey of corrugated sheet metal construction, and has been vacant since mid-2018. The property is in disrepair with damaged roof and is considered to be at the end of its useful life.
Please tell us which option you prefer and why? Your views will be used to shape the proposal for the site.
Deadline for feedback 22nd October 2021

Phases
Let's discuss the future of Abbey Community Estate
We want to understand which option best meets the current and future needs of the local community and would like to engage as many local people in the consultation process as is practical to identify the best way to utilise the site.
Three viable options have been identified for the future of the site.
- Demolish and rebuild as Affordable Workspace, with a Community Space
- Demolish and replace with a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), Outdoor Gym or Community Garden / Allotments
- Demolish and clear the site
