Brent Council is actively enhancing cycling facilities to encourage residents to embrace active and sustainable travel. By promoting cycling, the Council aims to improve public health, alleviate traffic congestion, and enhance air quality across the borough.

In a progressive response to the climate and ecological crisis, Brent is launching several Green Neighbourhood pilots, starting with Church End & Roundwood and Kingsbury. A key feature of these initiatives is the provision of secure cycle parking in areas lacking private outdoor space, addressing challenges such as blocked hallways and the risk of bike theft.

Through the installation of bike nests, the Council seeks to integrate environmental sustainability into everyday life, making it easier and safer for residents to cycle.
