People's Choice Award

The new Brent Design Awards celebrate the great buildings and places within our culturally diverse borough. We are inviting residents and those working in Brent to choose their favourite building or place from a shortlist of 27 entries across 5 different categories.

The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place at Brent Civic Centre in May 2023.

The categories are:

• Mixed-Use – buildings and places that combine different activities like homes, offices, leisure facilities and shops
• Residential – new housing developments that have at least two homes
• Small Projects – new individual homes, extensions or refurbishments
• Culture and Heritage – buildings and places that reuse heritage assets or celebrate cultural diversity
• Public Realm and Landscape – public spaces including parks and community gardens
