Building Safety Policy

Following the Grenfell Tower Fire tragedy in 2017, the government initiated an independent review of building regulations and fire safety.

This review led to the Building Safety Act 2022, which became law in April 2022. The Building Safety Act introduced important changes to improve housing and safety standards for residents living in high-rise buildings.

It ensures that these buildings are designed, constructed, and managed with the highest safety standards, giving residents more protection and a greater voice in their building’s safety.

This policy outlines how Brent Housing Management will:

  • Ensure all buildings meet the safety standards set by the Building Safety Act 2022.
  • Engage with residents on building safety and share essential information as part of our resident engagement strategy.
  • Work with regulators by providing necessary information and access.

We value your feedback on how you prefer to engage with building safety in your high-rise building. Your input is crucial in helping us maintain a safe living environment for everyone.
