School Street Zone & Existing Restricted Turns Proposal (Chevening Road)
Please note that this consultation covers two separate proposals: the proposed School Street Zone and the existing Restricted Turns (ETOs). Your views on each scheme will be considered separately, and support for one scheme does not automatically mean support for, or the retention/removal of, the other. The responses to each question will be considered alongside monitoring data and other relevant feedback. The outcome of each scheme will then be assessed independently, with separate decision reports prepared for the School Street Zone and the Restricted Turn (ETOs).
We are holding two engagement events where you can find out more about the proposals, ask questions and provide feedback.

Phases
Consultation
Details of the proposed school street zone
The proposed School Street will cover the eastern section of Chevening Road between Kingswood Avenue and Salusbury Road, together with Carlisle Road, Dunmore Road, Radnor Road and Brooksville Avenue.
During school term time, motor vehicles would be restricted from entering the School Street area Monday to Friday, between 7:30am–9:00am and 2:30pm–4:00pm. Pedestrians and cyclists would continue to have access at all times, and eligible residents and other exempt vehicles would be able to enter the area during the restricted hours.
Retention of the Restricted Turns (ETO’s)
There is currently an Experimental Traffic Management Order (ETO) restricting a number of right and left turns from Kingswood Avenue into the Avenues, as well as turns from Chevening Road into Carlisle Road. These restrictions operate Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 9:00am, except for cyclists.
As part of this consultation, we would also like to hear your views on whether the existing Restricted Turns (ETO’s) should be retained or removed.
