Community Treescape at Longstone Avenue Open Space

Brent Council in partnership with Energy Garden is undertaking additional planting at the entrance to Longstone Avenue Open Space off Fry Road, outside Newfield Primary School.

The proposals extend the community orchard, introduces a climate resilient grove, nitrogen fixing trees, and a rain garden in the green space, near the entrance to Newfield Primary School.

The scheme is designed to provide residents, pupils, and community groups with opportunities to plant, care for, and learn about the countless benefits of healthy trees and water systems.

This forms part of the delivery of the Church End Green Corridors and follows the planting of the community orchard, hedging, coppice area, and trees in Spring 2024 and 2025.
