Ecclestone Place CPZ

What are the proposed improvements?

There will be no changes to the layout of parking bays, waiting restrictions, or the cost of permits in Ecclestone Place. However, the Council believes that the proposed change to Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Zone W will offer the following benefits:

Extended Parking Protection

Zone W operates from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Sunday, compared to Zone C’s shorter hours of 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. This extension would:

  • Provide greater protection during evenings and Sundays, when parking pressure is currently highest.
  • Help deter non-resident parking during peak leisure and event times, particularly given Ecclestone Place’s proximity to Wembley High Road.

Improved Availability of Resident Parking

Residents have reported difficulty finding parking due to the larger number of Zone C permit holders using Ecclestone Place. Moving to Zone W, which covers fewer streets, is expected to:

  • Reduce the number of eligible permit holders parking in the area.
  • Improve the availability of spaces for local residents.

Consultation

30 June 2025 23:00 - 26 July 2025 23:00

Ecclestone Place is currently situated within Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) Zone C, which operates from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. However, residents have raised concerns regarding parking availability and protection and have requested to be reallocated to Zone W. Zone W offers extended operational hours from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Sunday, providing greater parking control. Parking controls from 8:00 AM to Midnight when there is event at the National Stadium, Wembley.

In response to ongoing requests from residents, the Council has agreed to consult on a proposed change to the parking controls for Ecclestone Place. The area under consideration is highlighted on the map located at the end of this page.
