Edgware Road A5 Proposed Pedestrian Crossing

There has been a long-standing desire to introduce a signalised pedestrian crossing, across Edgware Road between the junction of The Greenway and Annesley Avenue, Burnt Oak. There are many pedestrians in this area due to a large retail park, supermarket and residential apartments.

Over the last three years period ending May 2022, there have been a total of nineteen collisions resulting in fifteen personal injury accidents along this section of the Edgware Road between The Grove Park and Capitol Way. Out of these, one of the injuries sustained was recorded as serious and eighteen slight injury. (some collisions involved more than one personal injury). There were a total of five collisions involving pedestrians. There were ten collisions involving a motorcycle and two pedal cycles.
