- Two-way cycling retained along Kilburn Lane between Banister and Chamberlayne Road.
- A new cycle lane providing a cycle connection between Ilbert Street and Kilburn Lane.
- Exploration of greening (in-ground planting) and a bench at the western end of Ilbert Street and 9 new cycle stands.

Proposal to introduce one-way traffic and cycling measures on Kilburn Lane between Chamberlayne Road and Banister Road
Westminster City Council and the London Borough of Brent are proposing highway changes on Kilburn Lane between the junctions of Banister Road and Chamberlayne Road/Ilbert Street to introduce one-way traffic flow northbound (with two-way cycling retained). This scheme is in response to requests by residents for intervention on traffic issues and a subsequent traffic study in 2023-4 which led to the one-way traffic flow option being taken forward.
The 200-metre length of Kilburn Lane (between numbers 30 to 104) is predominantly residential and suffers from traffic congestion, as the road is often too narrow to allow traffic to pass in both directions. Installation of double yellow lines on the bend outside Nos. 50-52 in March 2025 was only partially effective and was designed as an interim measure ahead of these one-way proposals. In terms of road safety record, three serious injuries were recorded at the junction of Kilburn Lane and Chamberlayne Road in the last 5 years, one in 2021 and two in 2024.
