Kingsbury Green Corridors
Have Your Say
As part of the Council’s place-based approach to taking climate action, Kingsbury is identified as an area with potential for enhancing and linking green and active travel infrastructure known as ‘Green Corridors’.
In 2024, engagement activities and data analysis was undertaken to support development of an area-wide green corridors feasibility study, available below. This was complemented by detailed discussion with pupils, teachers, and guardians at Roe Green and Kingsbury schools to explore opportunities to walk, wheel and cycle to school.
Informed by these recommendations, funding was secured from Transport for London Local Implementation Plan (LIP) to deliver a range of measures along Princes Avenue and a consultation was completed 18th July to 15th August 2025. Following the initial investment from Transport for London, an additional £280,000 has been secured through the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) to continue to deliver the Kingsbury Green Corridors. This includes community-designed murals, street greening and tree planting, relandscaping part of Roe Green Park, new cycle and children’s scooter parking, improved wayfinding and signage, an accessibility feasibility study, to consider paths in Roe Green Park and Fryent Country Park.
