Setting the priorities for transport in Brent – Have your say!
Introduction:
The Council is reviewing its Long Term Transport Strategy (LTTS) and has developed a new draft plan. This sets out our priorities and proposals for improving the transport system in Brent over the next 20 years.
The draft LTTS has been developed taking into account a wide range of transport and related issues and challenges facing the borough, as well as building on our achievements to date and reflecting key national, Mayoral and borough policies and priorities. It has also been informed by the feedback received through recent and ongoing consultations, including the Brent Covid-19 Transport Recovery Plan; the Brent Active Travel Programme; and the Brent Air Quality Action Plan Review.
As part of this consultation, we are looking to build on our knowledge by asking residents, businesses, transport users and other interested parties to provide their views on the draft plan.
Consultation on the draft plan will run for a period of six weeks, until Wednesday 23rd March 2022. All comments and suggestions received during this time will be considered carefully and, where appropriate, incorporated into the final LTTS document to be published in Summer 2022.
In addition to this consultation, we previously launched an interactive tool to make it easier for residents to suggest locations for making active travel easier and safer in Brent. We would welcome any further suggestions you may have on these and any other transport improvements you would like to see in the borough.
