St Mary Magdalen's Catholic Junior School

A School Street is a term-time restriction of motorised traffic on a road by a school during the school’s pick-up and drop-off period. For both designs (Option 1 and Option 2 below) the scheme will operate from Monday to Friday (in term-time) from 7:30 am to 9:00 am in the morning and in the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Residents and blue-badge holders who live within the zone, and emergency vehicles will be exempt from these restrictions. Please refer to the attached drawings for the different consultation and exemption areas for the two options. The road also remains open to pedestrians and cyclists. The main principle is to make the route to school safer for pupils by reducing the volume of cars, reducing air pollution, and enabling more walking, and cycling.
