Travel Assistance Policy Consultation

Brent Council’s Travel Assistance for 0-25 in Education policy, which was last revised in 2013, is undergoing a comprehensive review in response to the latest guidance released in June 2023 by the Department for Education. We have drafted a new policy which reflects the recent guidance and we recognise that residents' insights and perspectives are essential in shaping this policy so that it truly reflects the needs of the community.

The next stage in the development of the policy is to embark on a period of consultation and engagement with service users and residents. Consultation on the proposed changes to the Travel Assistance policy for 0-25 in Education will run for a period of six weeks, until 14th April 2024.

All comments and suggestions received during this time will be considered carefully and, where appropriate, incorporated into the final version of the policy to be published in September.
