Valley Farm Area 20MPH Scheme

20mph speed limits – It is proposed to extend the existing 20mph in Kingsbury Road from junction with Valley Drive and its branching roads and will end at junction with Fryent Way and the following roads have been considered: 1) Valley Drive; 2) Crundale Avenue; 3) Mersham Drive; 3) Wyndale Avenue and 4) Waltham Avenue.

There will be no traffic calming features such as speed tables (sleeping policemen) will be introduced. However, adequate signage and road markings will be provided in the selected area indicating the drivers of the proposed operational of the 20mph speed limit. 

Double yellow lines: Short sections of double yellow lines will be introduced at critical sections of the roads such as junctions and bends to prevent obstructive parking. It will also improve accessibility for emergency and utility services such as refuse collection and delivery vehicles. Details are indicated in the green ellipses in the attached drawing. In summary, the proposed measures would improve traffic flow and road safety in the Valley Farm area.
