Waste Disposal Refresh at Alpha House, Gorefield House & Canterbury Court

Over the past few months, we have been working with your Ward Councillors and resident representatives to better understand the how the estate waste system and capacity can and should be improved.  As a short-term measure, we introduced a second weekly collection to reduce the accumulation of rubbish, contaminated bins and reduce the number of missed collections taking place.

We engaged MetroSTOR to carry out an assessment of the estate and they have developed the attached plan and options of possible solutions for improving the waste disposal system.

We will be presenting these options to you as part of a full consultation on these proposals. The consultation will start on Wednesday 21st September 2022  and finish on Saturday 8th September 2022 , with the outcome of the consultation expected on 28th October 2022.

There are a wide range of options for residents to have their say on these proposals, including an stand at our Action Day at Gorefield House Community Room on Friday 30th September 2022, virtual Q and A sessions on 28th September 2022 and 6th October 2022, an online survey and postal options.
