Waxlow Road Pay and Display & 20mph Speed Limit

The Council has recently received complaints about parking pressures and abandoned vehicles on Waxlow Road in Park Royal. Further to receiving the complaints, officers have visited and observed the parking pressure in the area. It is also acknowledged that recent new development is likely to result in more on-street parking pressures in the future, especially for customers to local businesses. As part of 2022-23 CPZ programme, the Council has therefore agreed for officers to consult you on proposals to change the existing ‘free’ parking spaces on Waxlow Road into a formal Controlled Parking Zone (including additional waiting restrictions and Pay and Display parking bays). This will help to reduce long stay parking and increase turnover of parking spaces.

In addition to parking pressure, complaints have also been raised about the speed of vehicles using Waxlow Road. A traffic speed survey has been undertaken and the proposals will also aim to address concerns which have been raised.
