Consultation - Wendover Road Bike Nest
Brent Council is actively enhancing cycling facilities to encourage residents to embrace active and sustainable travel. By promoting cycling, the Council aims to enhance public health, reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality throughout the borough.
A key aspect of this initiative is the provision of secure cycle parking in areas that lack private outdoor space, addressing issues like blocked hallways and the risk of bike theft. This project is funded through Section 106 (S106) agreements, which are legal agreements between local authorities and developers. These agreements ensure that developers contribute to local infrastructure and services to mitigate the impact of their projects on the community.
Through the installation of bike nests, the Council seeks to integrate environmental sustainability into everyday life, making it easier and safer for residents to cycle.
