FBM Architects, in collaboration with Brent Borough Council, propose the demolition of the existing garages and the construction of four high quality courtyard-type houses with associated garden and amenity space.

The proposals include one one-bedroom house, two three-bedroom houses and one four bedroom house. The site is accessed via Willesden Lane and will boast a large, shared courtyard area to integrate new and existing buildings, increase parking provision and provide a space for refuse collection and cycle storage. A large, shared garden is also to be provided to the east of the site. The garden will be gated and only residents will be able to gain access.

The layout and orientation of the houses has been designed in such a way that it will prevent any overlooking into and of the neighbouring properties. Features such as angled windows, adjusting primary aspects and window positioning helps to prevent this. Alongside a large, shared garden, each house has at least 50 square metres of private patio garden space,
